A mattress contains on average between 100,000 and 10,000,000 mites. One gram of botulin extracted from Clostridium botulinum bacteria suffices to kill the entire population of an average modern city. We are made of over 90 per cent bacteria, viruses, fungi and other microorganisms. The Toxoplasma gondii parasite, for example, turns mice into zombies so they can be eaten by cats. Magnus Frederiksen is especially interested in everything that is unusual or absurd, and what can be stranger than the fact that we exist at all. Magnus lives and works in Stockholm.
